Ireland lies between a depression of 977 hectopascals centered west of Norway and an anticyclone of 1025 hectopascals centered near the Azores in a mostly moderate to fresh westerly airflow. Small craft warning, in effect heavy swell greater than 4 meters, no forecast for Valentia to Eris head to Mollinhead. Wind west to southwest force 4 or 5, soon decreasing southwesterly force 3 to 5, later increasing force 5 or 6. Weather, cloudy with patches of rain and drizzle becoming more persistent later. Some mist patches too. Visibility, reducing moderate or poor in precipitation or mist, otherwise good. Forecast for Maulin Head to Carnsore Point to Valentia and for the Irish Sea wind, imminent backing southwesterly force 4 or 5. Soon decreasing force 3 to 5, increasing force 4 or 5 by the end of the period. Weather, mostly cloudy, occasionally fair, with isolated patches of rain and drizzle, some mist patches too.
